Positive
legacies
We leverage professional club ecosystems and
the game of soccer to empower more young people
in British Columbia to live well for themselves and others.
Our programming, partnerships & advocacy aim to build:
1. Healthy foundations
2. Life skills & altruism
3. Equitable opportunities
Healthy
foundations
The core of our work centres around improving mental, physical and social health outcomes in young people through active movement and holistic health education initiatives. These efforts aim to empower children and youth with the tools and habits needed to keep active bodies, maintain balanced minds and build strong social connections as they move into adolescence and through to adulthood.
Life skills
& altruism
Through play, education and leadership initiatives, we aim
to build life skills in young people fit for meaningful personal development and successful adulthood. Using project and
age-dependant skills frameworks, children and youth will cultivate transferrable (socio-emotional) and foundational
skills for personal empowerment, critical thinking,
employability and engaged citizenship.
Equitable
opportunities
To ensure fair and widespread access to the benefits
of soccer, Net Positive Football prioritizes strategic collaborations, programming, and advocacy initiatives aimed at removing barriers to full engagement for young people based on race, gender, socioeconomic status, or any other protected characteristic. From equipment redistribution and mini-pitch builds to free and equity-driving programming,
Net Positive Football’s efforts will continue seeking to
further diversity and inclusivity in both sport and society.
